Staff Members
Here are all the caring people that make Clear Creek Animal Hospital so special.
Receptionists
Our receptionists are the vital link from Clear Creek to our clients. Without them, the rest of our staff couldn't do their jobs. The receptionists answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, greet patients when they arrive, create all of our reminders, make calls to check on patients and confirm appointments, keep up with all charts, and much more. We are fortunate to have excellent receptionists. Click here to read about each of our receptionists.
Head Technician
Amy is the head of our technical services and staff. Amy is a certified veterinary technician, which involves several years of schooling and then attending continuing education to maintain her state license. Amy has been with Clear Creek since 1999. Some of Amy's duties include assisting in surgery, performing laboratory functions, and training our technicians. Amy has several dogs, cats, and horses. When she isn't working, she enjoys riding horses, kayaking, hiking, and gardening.
Kennel Manager
Virgil is THE man. Everyone who boards their pets with us knows Virgil watches over them all like they are his own. Virgil is originally from Transylvania, Romania (but don't worry, he's no vampire). Virgil joined Clear Creek in 1994 when he spoke little English and has worked up to running the kennel area. We couldn't do without him. Virgil has one dog, Taco Bell, a Chihuahua.
Office Manager
Nena has filled in as our all around front office person. She is directly responsible for improving client services, aids in marketing, trains our receptionists, and comes up with all of the sayings for our sign. Nena joined us in November 2000 and has worked her way around most of the clinic -- working as a technician, in the kennel, and as a receptionist. In her spare time, Nena enjoys the beauty that can be found all over the state, especially the Blue Ridge Parkway. Nena has a dog named Gypsy.
Technicians
Our technicians form the backbone of the clinic. The doctors may make the diagnosis, but it is the technicians who get the lab tests done, take radiographs, assist the doctors in exam rooms and surgery, and make sure that all patient treatments are done. They provide a lot of the TLC that our patients need. We've got great technicians -- click here to read about them.
Kennel Assistants
Our kennel assistants take care of all of the boarders at CCAH. They make sure that everyone is walked several times a day, keep all of their cages clean, bathe all pets, and make sure that the kennels and hospital grounds are kept in a tidy fashion.
