Hello Clear Creek Family!
I would like to welcome all of you, whether you are human, canine, or feline (or the occasional guinea pig, ferret, or rabbit) to our new blog. I will be updating this frequently with all things Clear Creek to include pet stories, big news in the veterinary world, helpful advice, or just tidbits that I find uplifting or amusing. Your comments are encouraged and appreciated!
Most of you know me, but let me properly introduce myself. I am Dr. Kristen Bamonte and I have been with Clear Creek for a little over 6 years now. I was a military brat and thus moved all over the country, but consider Lansing, Kansas as my hometown. I received my Bachelor and DVM degrees from Kansas State University and then moved east to Charlotte. I was recently married and we have 2 dogs who rule our lives – Mia, a Cocker Spaniel, and Jag, a Doberman. I love to read, cook, eat, travel and occasionally exercise (to balance out the love of eating!).
Since our inaugural blog is right on the tail of Thanksgiving, I thought it would be a good time to list what I am grateful for at Clear Creek:
1. The wonderful staff at Clear Creek. We take pride in the fact that we really have a “family” atmosphere here. Every pet is given individual attention, whether a patient or boarder, and is truly treated as if it were one of our pets. We love our patients and clients and it shows when you walk through the door.

2. Our clients. You love your pets and it shows!
3. Our furry friends. Can you imagine life without them???
4. The progressive nature of our practice. You can be sure we are using the most cutting edge medical and surgical techniques. We are big nerds and use it to your pet’s advantage!
5. Our proximity to specialty clinics. If we need to refer your pet to a specialist (such as a surgeon, cardiologist, oncologist, or neurologist, to name a few) we have 3 clinics to choose from in the surrounding area.
6. And, finally, we get to work with animals all day, could there be a better job??
